HPT crowns its first Elite National & Continental Standard distance Champion with Emma Jeffcoat leading from the gun to ‘time trial’ her way to the Title from fellow NSW athlete Gillian Backhouse.

Emma backed up her career best World Cup finish with a 4th at Mooloolaba a week earlier to claim the outright win to take over the mantle from Emma Moffat’s win last year & defend her own U23 title.

HPT’s Brady Goodyear produced his first top 10 result in a Continental Cup with a 7th outright & 6th U23 in the Oceania Championships. This comes off the back of consecutive podiums in the Australian U23 Triathlon Series in Robina and Perth just weeks earlier.

World U19 Sprint Distance Age Group World Champion Nathan Breen made his professional debut but unfortunately his race was cut short with an early puncture.

Emma’s next race will be the ITU WTS Gold Coast debut next month with Brady & Nathan looking to the next local Kurnell event in just a weeks time.
