The Week as a System

We know that with most endeavours in life we need to tackle things with a systemised approach. This is because if we have a system we can critique how we went with it and then tweak it or use it in a way where we can incrementally improve on it.

One of the common themes coming through from the huge influx of podcasts is how all the pro athletes work this way. They know what works for them and they grind away at that week. Chipping away at improvements.

Applying this to you should be easy. Think hard / easy. Think endurance / intervals. Think when you can recover and when you can work. Think about how your life works around training. Then you will be able to notice what works and what doesn't. Then take that towards improvement of the week and in turn you will improve your performance.
