South Coast

We had a bit going on south of Sydney this weekend. The Kiama Triathlon was on, and given we had a few down at Husky for Sammy and Josh’s wedding we also had a few Park Runners. Also a shoutout the the Club racers that had a crack mid-training.

Kiama Triathlon :

If your name is Nathan put your hand up. You most likely did the Kiama Triathlon this weekend. A great race that has a dead zone between T1 and the start of the bike where your time isnt added in. Then a run that is crazy hilly.

Congrats to Nathan Dixon who won the Sprint Distance tri overall ! In a time of 1:03, Nathan blitzed the down current swim and then pushed a very strong bike and run to take the tape. A long held dream of his. Coming from an ankle reconstruction only months ago, this was a really special reward for hard work

Nathan Leonard took on the Standard distance and whilst racing with a bit of flu still hanging around he still raced well finishing in 2:39. A result he was happy with given his context.

Husky Park Run :

An impromptu showing at this prestigious event was on the cards after Josh Revell decided to go do a sub 20min 5k on his wedding day. This sparked those that went to the wedding to also have a run. Josh did indeed break 20 with a 19:59. Great work Joshie ! The rest were as follows and in no specific order Kelly Linton 28:59, Julien Lamy 21:09, Jen Medina 23:10, Paul Humphreys 23:31, Dan Inglese 21:25, Darren Alchin 18:36, James Bonamy 19:39, Scott Allison 21:54.
