Loves a Race

Another busy weekend of racing backing up off last weekend.

: Friday Night Crits :

Congrats to Alex Loughrey who picked up a cheeky D grade win in the Sutho Crits. I highly recommend getting up there for a race to mix your training up.

: Mudgee Park Run :

James Bonamy received a large incentive fee to race at the Mudgee Park Run on the weekend and justified his fee with a big win in 20:04 only narrowly missing out on the bonus pool if he went sub 20.

: Little Husky :

Saturday was the run festival and Sunday was the tri’s and we had athletes in each event. Nathan Leonard and Ryan Beattie both did the Half Marathon with Nathan going 1:41 and Ryan going 1:27. Both great runs.

Sunday was podium time. In the the Standard tri we had Jonah Newton coming first in his age in 2:01. Not bad on a bike that was stuck in one gear ! Amanda Behrendt raced really well for second in her age in the Aquabike in 1:45. Great work team !

: Noosa :

Harry Wiles started the day off well in the elites with a 1:52 racing amongst some very well credentialed short course athletes including a few Olympians.

In Australia’s largest age group triathlon of nearly 5,000 competitors we threw our hat in the ring with 7 athletes. Jarrod Crump raced in the legends category and picked up a 3rd place for his 2:13. Russ Brinckley is also a Noosa legend and went 3:00. Paul Humphreys continues his comeback from injury and had further improvements for his 2:34. Scottie Allison raced strong all day as he always does and came up with a 2:26. Sammy Taylor had a great race considering she is training for an Ultra run and finished with a time of 2:43. Josh Revell trained the house down for this one. At times unable to lift his arms from all the swim km he did. 2:37 for Joshie. Andy Walker moved to Noosa only 10 days before race day and celebrated with a very nice race in a time of 2:25

: Race Reports :

If your name is mentioned in the above hall of fame make sure you send me through race report. What did you get right? What will you work on more for next race? Tell us your story !!
