Hell?

A great weekend with a lot of racing alongside Harry Wiles going top 5 at Hell of the West.

Harry made a late call on hitting HOTW after an opportunity to race presented itself and made the absolute most of it. With Amberger off the front, Harry settled into the chase pack nicely, punching through the muddy water. Once out on the road things got fast with the first 60-70km of the race averaging over 45kph. The last bit of the ride saw the wind pick up and it dragged the pace back to 44.3. A slick ride. Once out on the run he was able to settle back into the pace nicely after some tummy issues and went on to hold 5th place.

In the rest of the many races, Alex Loughrey did his final race before hip surgery with a 20min Captain Christie Ocean Swim. Crumpy knocked off a great Crit series up at the Friday night racing picking up the C Grade win and the overall series. His wingman Jeff Davis came 2nd with some strong strategy and hard riding / leading out. Zane Galea nailed down 1st in B grade with some strong riding.

Nice to see Maddie Morton run to the top of Kozzy with Nedd Brockman ! Very cool ! Mad Dog Underwood did the Hobbiton Trail Half Marathon and reports a very tough race. He went 2:38. Amanda Behrendt raced the local kayak race and was fastest female in the 5kTT. Last but not least, a cheeky shoutout to Quinton winning his first squash match.

Congrats to everyone !
