Race Race Race

I love athletes racing. Even though tri’s aren’t as plentiful at this time of year we can start accessing runs and club races. It helps you practice your race craft and that helps with confidence on race day.

Harry Wiles identified an opportunity at the Sydney 10 run yesterday out at Homebush. He went 32:45 and learnt a lot about where his early pace is and how his endurance is holding up. Nice work !

The Cairns crew edge closer to their day in the sun and have been getting their sessions in nicely. The weekend sessions are where it’s at now and I spoke at training this week about having full focus on those sessions. We have to arrive at the race ready mentally and peaking / hungry to race. Getting worried about missing one or two midweek sessions won’t help you.

Club Champs is on this week and we have a few ready and raring to go. Race hard team !
