Yes

I love the word yes. Imagine saying it with the volume of your voice turned up a bit. Now imagine saying it with a smile. Add a little cheeky fist bump or a hug for someone. You get my drift……

Add all the little stuff up and you get an athlete that has turned their psychology on it’s head…. and it was completely within their own power.

2 races this weekend. 5 athletes. 5 YES ! moments.

Jackie Fairweather Triathlon :

Chris Jovcevski finished his race and picked up valuable WQ points despite tearing his calf with a km to go. Still went sub 20min on the run and cracked a nice 1:15 out and a 6th place. Maddie Morton raced in her happy place with lots of positives at the end of a busy year. 1:22. Also a 6th and lots of WQ points.

Callala Triathlon :

Cheyne Lowder raced in the Sprint and was keen for revenge after a mechanical in Canberra. Cheyno cracked out a 1:22 amd came 2nd in his age.

Ange Coleman made a very welcome comeback to triathlon after an 18 months hiatus and was very happy to be back. Ange even did it despite getting a virus mid week she was so keen. Picked up a cheeky 1st place in her age too with a 3:00 and a fire firmly planted for her next race.

Paul Humphreys raced the Standard because he loves racing and supporting mates racing. Humps buit another rock under his return from injury development with a 2:45 and 4th in his age.
