Specificity

Specificity :

As we reach into the second half of the season we really put that extra focus into specificity. We do that so we can link our training to the race. When you have that big race coming up it’s really important to know exactly the kind of paces you will be chasing and have confidence from training that you can do them.

Be aware of your goal numbers for your A race. If you have an Ironman on the plan but have a 70.3 before it, aim for the Ironman pace as that will be the A race most likely.
