Long Weekend Vibes

Plenty happening for the athletes this weekend with our Alpine Camp and the Australia Day Aquathon.

We are 4 weeks into the year and it’s getting good already !

Australia Day Aquathon :

3 athletes on the start line and all came away with GREAT results.

Jonah Newton won the race overall in 38:59 sealing a race victory that is well coveted in our sport. Jonah has just started to comeback nicely from Busso Ironman and is moving well again clearly !

Matt Jean had a very strong race also with a big PB of 40:47 taking him to 6th place overall and 3rd in his AG. Great work Matty !

Chris Jovcevski headed down with his family, raced the short Aquathon and smashed it! Jova went 22:05 and came 2nd in his AG.

HPT Alpine Camp :

It was a big 4 days for the crew that headed down for the Camp. Congratulations to every single one of you that took on the heat, hills, altitude and of course the solid training load over the full extent of the camp

The 4 days consisted of approximately 1500m of swim, 200km of riding and 38km of running. That equated out to about 700tss (175 Tss per day)

Well done team ! Douglas Parra, Maddie Morton, Sam Judd, Ange Coleman, Vanessa Herbert, Jeff Davis, Greg Attwells and Darren Alchin and Matty Underwood.

Huge thanks for the support crew Wendy Clifford and Kate Day who were always there with a cheer, or a drink or what seemingly was an endless supply of red snakes.

Thanks also to Jeff Davis who took the crew through a great personal development experience pushing us on a mental level to create and commit to our goals and high performance habits into 2025.

This Week’s Races :

We have 3 races on the calendar for this weekend. Saturday is Batemans Bay for the crew chasing Sprint WQ points. We also have the Sun Run that day. A 10k run that goes from Dee Why to Manly. Sunday is Stockton for the Standard qualifiers crew and Aquabikers.

I am unable to get to the races this weekend so make sure you rip in and message me your results as soon as you can.
