Kiama & Triple Threat
Start line for Race 3
If there is one race on the calendar that screams Old School Triathlon it’s Kiama. With the walk up-river to the swim start, gnarly grainy country roads for the ride and a hilly / challenging run it takes you away from the flat contrived PB courses and back to the pure challenge.
We had the 3 amigo’s racing in Paul Humphreys, James Bonamy and Josh Landsberry. Humps was the only “tri”athlete today as Bonners and Lando prepped for Worlds with the Aquabike.
Everything went well (except for a lost Garmin by Bonners) and the racing was strong. Humps went 2:42 (4th), Bonners went 1:30 (1st) and Lando finished in 1:31 (2nd).
Time for a Break :
I will be heading off for a week’s leave tomorrow and return on Wednesday the 8th of Oct. I will keep an eye on TP but will largely remain offline so I can refresh and renew the battery. Sutho Sessions will run as per usual under the expert guidance of Jess and Crumpy.
HPT Triple Threat :
We had another cracker of a team session by Crumpy yesterday out at Kurnell to prepare for Worlds. 3 short tri’s to work on the transition skills and hone in on intensity. The location and the course was only outdone by the athletes and team vibe. Big thanks to Crumpy for organising, and also to Harry for taking some cracking content in amongst his session. We WILL do more of these over summer.
Training Peaks :
A few things that help me to help you in using Training Peaks
Put in your races and follow up with a message to me
Use the availiability tool for holidays and time away from training for work
Use post-activity comments to remain engaged and keep me up to date
Team Kit :
Final touches are going on the team kit now and the link will go up for ordering. If you are keen on the CDa suit, this will also now be on offer. Once we get that done I am looking at casual gear and some “alternate” training kit in different designs.
Socials and Group Chats :
A reminder that we have a Facebook Group Chat for all things Training and Racing. If you are new to the team and wish to be added, please message me and I will add you. One of the big strengths HPT has as a team is it’s community and family vibe. Don’t be shy !! Get involved and be active in the chat !!
