Team Update

Racing :

Matty “Nathan” Lester made a comeback to racing this weekend. This time in the form of kayak paddling. He raced the iconic Bridge to Beach - 11km from Kirribili to Manly Wharf. Great to see you back racing mate. His time was 1:04 by the way.

Congrats also to Sarah Brown who swims with us. I got a text from Sarah during the week asking if she should have a crack at the 5k Murray Rose Malabar Ocean Swim. Of course I said yep and she cracked out a 3rd place in 1:25.

Good luck to all team members heading to Big Husky and Crackenback for the Cross Tri this weekend.

Husky :

Our biggest weekend of the year is upon us. Big Husky ! We have a star-studded line up ready to go down and get some big results on the board too. I will have the tent up for the Sprints on Saturday and the Classic / Ultimate on Sunday.

You should have a race plan sorted by now. If not then please do one! Not just a binary “go hard or go home” approach. Put thought into the different parts of the race that challnge you and how you will handle them. That run up the steps to T1 is a great example. High heart rates will just have to be managed unless you are happy to give a free minute away to your competitors.

Husky Team Photo :

Could everyone please come to the big “HUSKY” sign at 4:00pm on Saturday afternoon for a team photo.

Wear your black HPT run shirt as preference or a black t-shirt.

Matty wins the cutest crew award

18 swimmers at squad and only 8 water bottles ! Lucky hydration isn’t a thing ;)

I’m loving Tempo Tuesday at the moment. Bikes on the bike track has forced us to get some new courses and it’s added a new dynamic.

Good line-up for the Saturday Bike Bunch. Thanks to Di for the pre-ride “nutrition”
