Kylie Fountain was supposed to be doing a Surfboat race in Lake Burley Griffen but unfortunately they had a storm come through and the race was abandoned. This was a shame given it would have been great prep for the George Bass Marathon at the end of the year.
Darren Alchin raced the pre race events in Kona. He did 20:45 for the 5k fun run and 36:51 for the 1.9k H’ola swim. Shoutout to Kate Day who also did the fun run - her first 5k in 7 years !
Nicky Western raced the Hunter Cycling Club handicap race and reports a strong race holding 36 average but unable to catch the D grade bunch who had a generous head start of 1 lap.

You may notice a slight change in times of messages and Training Peaks comments this week as I am now in Hawaii for the IMWC World Champs. Other than that, it’s all business as usual !
