News : Spring is here

Racing :

Two races this week. The Beachside Dash Half Marathon and Sunshine Coast 70.3

Angus Waddell has been putting in the work this year towards his debut 70.3. Coming through the pathways system meant it was a decent change too. But he really put the effort in and was rewarded. 26min swim, 2:19 bike and a 1:27 run for 4:17 and a passion sparked.

Ryan Beattie had some challenges over Christmas to get through and has done just that really well settling back into a run program and aiming for a Mara later this year. The Beachside Dash was a great chance to see where he was at and the news was all good with a 1:28 finish.

Jonah Newton grabbed a last minute ticket to Beachside as well but just doing it as training for Kona. Jonah ran a really nicely controlled effort and came in with a 1:19 showing great discipline not to smash his legs.

Swim Squad :

We are back to Sutherland Pool tonight after a 6 week block at Caringbah. I look forward to getting back into our routine. See you tonight ready for a 6pm start.

A Few Tips as we head into the season :

Get your races into Training Peaks and message me your schedule.

Consistency is the goal. Not just showing up to the session but having consistency in your effort and preparation. If you get the hang of being able to do this one skill then you are on the path to success.

Our most successful athletes are the ones that train accurately to their program, execute to the right paces and heart rates, look after their nutrition, plan ahead, and just generally not make errors. You cant build volume on shaky ground and building volume for your race block is the goal. It’s what get’s you fit and strong and ready to race.

Team Kit :

Our Team Kit Store is still open for a last minute order. Make sure you don’t miss out !
