News : Run

I was great to see such a busy run weekend with athletes competing over 5 events. We of course had the iconic Sutho to Surf. We also had the Winery Run with athletes in the 10.5 plus the Marathon… and Run Melbourne with the 10k and Half Marathon.

Winery Run

Brett Hallam had a fantastic run and took the overall win in the Marathon in 2:53:15. A great sign he is on track for Port IM later in the year. Erica Galea raced the 10.5k event and did a great job of it finishing in 65:17

Run Melbourne

Keiley Mead ran in the 10k and went 51:39. Matty Underwood did the Half Mara in 2:06:47. Well done Team Melbourne !

Sutho to Surf

This is always a big event but this year really took hold with many coached and casual on the line. Lot’s to like about the results but I was relentless in that this one was about the pure enjoyment of running a local race with mates with no pressure.

There’s a lot of stories out there in an event like this. Harry going top 10 mid Fire Fighter training. Kate running mid health challenges. Chris backing up from 120km of gravel racing the day before. Di back racing again. New HPT athletes, 10+ year HPT legends. Lots to like ! Make sure you take care of those DOMS legs today.

Okay - Im going to put results in but please let me know if i have missed anyone or got a time wrong so I can update the list. There’s a lot of results !

Congrats to Harry Wiles fastest HPT male 35:36 and Jamie McIver fast HPT female 43:52.
