Airlie
It’s always good to get to the first tri of the season. As usual it was in Queensland to make the most of the weather.
Harry Wiles dusted off the race kit and was happy to be out of the cold and rain. A 1:59 and 9th place was a great way to kick things off and get a feel for all the little things again like transitions and wetsuits etc. Nice work Harry !
Well done to Maddie Morton throwing herself into the crit racing up at Sutho. Self confessed last place but also said she LOVED it !!!
Jarrod Denny jumped into the boat again for a club hitout over 5k. Pleased to report he hasn’t lost anything over winter with a strong 27:02
12 Hour Walk
Congrats to Lachlan and Justin Hess, Hannah Goerges and Paul Humphreys on their amazing feat of walking for 12 hours raising money for the Love Your Sister Charity yesterday at Cronulla. The crew raised over $10,000 and it’s not too late to donate at this link
HPT Triple Mix
Sunday 28th September, 7am - Kurnell (Netted Enclosure)
Save the date to have a good short course mix out at Kurnell to brush up on the transition and running off the bike skills. The aim is to get a heap of athletes out there so if you can squeeze it in that would be great. Come along for all or a part of teh session or even just for coffee after.
Nutrition Tracking
A couple of things I’m noticing with nutrition tracking. A few people are getting on board with Fuel-in which is great. Some people also are tracking and linking to Training Peaks. Also good !! But I get a bit worried if the tracking numbers are way short. Most likely thats from missing tracking a meal so if a day is tracked try to get all the intake in.
Swim TSS
I made this request last week so just bring it up again as a reminder that TP puts silly TSS numbers in for swim lately so if I am to manage load through the TP system properly please adjust your TSS in swim sessions to either 1 TSS per minute of swimming or use HRtss mode.
