Last Block
And just like that, we head into the last block of the year ! Hard to believe really. So much good stuff. Marathons, Ironmans, gravel races, bike races, worlds campaigns, personal challenges and triumphs.
Let’s make this last one our best one. Set ourselves up for more success. Push ourselves to new levels. Break. down barriers.
Races :
Alex Loughrey went to a place called Nelligen, inland from Batemans Bay for a gravel race called Clarkes Gambit. Alex’s race had some challenges including losing his Garmin at a river and having it found by another competitor but lots of fun and challenge was still had.
Nicky Western went to the Sparke Hellemore Triathlon in Newcastle and won her age group. This race is now in it’s 32nd year and doesn’t get enough credit for being a great race on the calendar. Nice race after your Worlds efforts Nicky!! Time now to build for the AAA as her next big race.
Greg Attwells had to defer his WS70.3 entry over to Melbourne and this weekend he got the full Melbourne experience. Wind, rain and a cancelled swim. This took G’s swim strength out but we were confident in his training, that he could get his Worlds 70.3 spot if he put it all together. And that he did ! coming away with a trip to Nice booked for 2026.
