Sydney
Race Results :
And just like that the Sydney Marathon is done and dusted !! …. and wow didn’t we excel on the big stage. Congrats to all our runners on superb execution and great preps.
Jen Lamy Medina was so happy with her run and rightly so claiming a 3:35 and 15min PB. Keely Jeffery showed awesome enduranbce holding onto pace well and getting a great 4:00 result.
Craig Dortkamp had a crazy prep where we adjusted quite a bit on the fly managing different things as they arose. That paid off with a 2:55. Then we had the two 3:51 boys. Doug Parra 3:51:02 sneaking in ahead of Storm Drury 3:51:48.
Congrats also to our mate James Martin who raced well for his 2:46.
Big thanks to Erica Galea who helped out getting a few rare entries for some of the team.
Everyone’s pacing and endurance was all time good which is really pleasing and 4 of this crew now head into 70.3 racing over the next couple of weeks after they recover.

Zane Galea made a last minute switch to race the Billigence Series race at Sutherland yesterday. Zane raced really well and finished strongly in the A final after two well executed heats.

Some nice paddling from Amanda Behrendt hitting up a 10k in a double and going 57:14 in the Paddle NSW event.
Testing :
Some great testing from the team this week resulting in some solid performances across the board.
What’s next ?
Jarrod Crump will now put together the Dashboard Charts and start sending them out and I will update thresholds and zones in Training Peaks.
With four quarters of this testing system in place this now gives me clear data on how I should look at your programming. If we have struck a plateau anywhere I will look at the training volume first and make sure we have that in a good place. Following that I will look into possibilities in changes of training intensity distribution based on if you might be a more aerobic volume responder or an intensity responder.
